October line ups

MOTH Acoustic Club presents

Friday 20 October: Domini Forster at Main Ridge Estate

Domini Forster is fast-establishing herself as one of Melbourne’s brightest new voices in modern folk.

She leads you through the dusk-lit corridors of her intricate song-stories, each scene as intimate and lovelorn as tea-stained lace. Forster’s distinctive voice shifts effortlessly from commanding call to lilting, whisper-close falsetto, earning her comparisons to the likes of Laura Marling and Joni Mitchell.

“Australian indie folk music has a new queen.” – Beat Magazine

Domini will play an unplugged, duo set at the beautiful Main Ridge Estate.

80 William Road, Red Hill. Doors 7.00pm.

Supper snacks will be served during interval.

Friday 6 October: Karl S Williams (Qld), Twin Peaks (Canada)

Perhaps one of the country’s most honest and mesmerizing singer-songwriters, Karl S Williams is today excited to include MOTH on his on east coast tour to promote his new single ‘Blood to Give.’

“He can channel the pain of life and warp it into beauty.” – Beat Magazine

You don’t have to listen long to grasp the beauty in the blended voices of Western Canadian Music Award-winning folk/roots duo Twin Peaks (Naomi Shore and Lindsay Pratt). But when you experience their live show you’ll realise that their music is about something much more captivating than just a catalogue of clever songs. It’s the expression of a rare kind of harmony that exists between their spirits – that’s what makes Twin Peaks so infectious and unforgettable.

“Go see them in an intimate performance while you can, once the word gets out about this talented young duo you’ll wish you had. Go see them!” Doug Cox, Artistic Director – Vancouver Island Music Fest
